Gretchen Jopp is an Associate Professor in the Healthcare Business Department and has been at Clarkson College since 2010. She also serves as the Clinical Coordinator for the Healthcare Business department. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management from College of Saint Mary and her Master’s degree in Health Information Management from the College of Saint Scholastica. In May 2021, she will earn a Post-Graduate Certificate in Informatics from the College of Saint Scholastica.  

Along with teaching, Ms. Jopp has served on the Faculty Senate, Higher Learning Commission re-accreditation committee, Interprofessional Clinical Committee and the Academic Integrity Education Committee at the College. Through her work, she earned the Patricia Book Perry Faculty of the Year Award in 2016 and the Excellence in Teaching Award in 2014.  

Ms. Jopp is an active member of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), Nebraska Health Information Management Association (NHIMA), American Academy of Professional Coders and National Society for Leadership and Success (NSLS). She has served on the AHIMA House of Delegates and in 2016, earned the NHIMA Distinguished Member Award.
