Words of Wisdom

My words of wisdom for students comes from two quotes that I have grown to appreciate over the years. I want my students to remember strength does not come from what you can do. It comes from overcoming the things you once thought you could not do. The success we obtain in our career path or in life is the sum of our persistent small efforts, repeated day in and day out. Lastly, the type of nursing you practice may change over your career, the one constant I have experienced is, as a nurse, you know that every day in some way you will touch a life, or a life will touch yours reaffirming your passion for the career you chose. Students constantly amaze with their drive and perseverance. I am inspired by all their accomplishments to continue to with my small efforts day in and day out.
