Katie Fulton is the Assistant Director & Clinical Coordinator, Associate Professor in the Clarkson College Radiography and Medical Imaging programs. She received an Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Imaging from Clarkson College. Ms. Fulton earned her Master’s degree in Instructional Technology at Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas and her Master’s degree in Management with a Leadership Emphasis from Doane University in Nebraska.

After over a decade in the clinical environment, Ms. Fulton began her teaching career at Fort Hays State University in Hays, KS as an Instructor in the Radiologic Technology and Medical Diagnostic Imaging Programs. She joined the faculty at Clarkson College in 2014, transitioning to Assistant Director & Clinical Coordinator in 2021. She specializes in invasive vascular and cardiac procedures and led the design and implementation of the Cardiac Interventional and Vascular Interventional courses Clarkson College now offers. Ms. Fulton is a co-sponsor of the Delta Chapter of the Lambda Nu National Honor Society for the Radiologic and Imaging Sciences at Clarkson College and is also a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS). To remain at the forefront of the medical imaging field, she is a member of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) and Nebraska Society of Radiologic Technologists (NSRT).

Ms. Fulton feels the true reward in education comes in the relationships developed with students and colleagues. Ms. Fulton lives in Omaha with her husband and son. She enjoys spending time outside, reading, and traveling.


Words of Wisdom 

I really take the approach that everyone is constantly learning, including myself! So, I deeply appreciate Dr. Maya Angelou’s quote, “Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.”
I also take to heart in relationships with patients, colleagues, and students, “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel”, also by Dr. Angelou.


Awards and Honors

Ms. Fulton was a co-recipient of the Dr. Patricia Book Perry Academic Scholarly Award for developing the Medical 3D Imaging Printing Specialist certificate at Clarkson College in 2019. She is a three-time nominee and one time winner of the Clarkson College Excellence in Teaching 'Apple' Award. Ms. Fulton is recognized as a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology Accreditation Site Visitor and serves as a Kettering National Seminar, Radiography Faculty Member.



Ms. Fulton teaches in a variety of courses across the Radiography curriculum including Patient Care, Radiographic Procedures, and Clinical Experiences as well as various Medical Imaging offerings.
