Kristen Villarreal has been an instructor at Clarkson College since 2015 and currently teaches in the Undergraduate Nursing program and serves as the Registered Nursing (RN) to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program option coordinator. She received her Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from College of Saint Mary in 2005. She then received a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Nurse Educator degree in 2014 and Doctor of Education (EdD), Public Health Policy degree in 2023, from Nebraska Methodist College.

Dr. Villarreal has a passion for nursing education and community health. She participates in multiple committees and organizations at the College and in the community, including Faculty Senate Due Process and Personnel committees and Nebraska League for Nursing. She also leads the RN to BSN Workforce Sponsorship Program taskforce.
