Sally joined Clarkson College in 2022, bringing with her more than 20 years of experience in nursing, with a clinical background focused on women’s health and pediatric care. Her career includes roles as a flight nurse, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) nurse and educator, Emergency Department nurse, and Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP) and Nursery nurse.
Before coming to Clarkson College, Sally established and built the simulation program at Children’s Nebraska, where she designed, implemented, and expanded simulation-based education to enhance staff training and patient safety. She has also served as an adjunct faculty member for over a decade, teaching in both classroom and clinical settings.
Sally’s passion for education and commitment to advancing simulation-based learning led her to the role of Interprofessional Simulation Administrator. Under her leadership, the Clarkson College Interprofessional Simulation Center achieved a significant milestone in May 2025, becoming the first and only Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH)–Accredited Simulation Center in Nebraska with Provisional Accreditation. She is now guiding the Center’s continued progress toward full accreditation, with a planned submission in December 2027.
