Dr. Bautista is the Program Director for both the Doctor of Education in Healthcare Education & Leadership and the Doctor of Education in Interprofessional Leadership. She has 15 years of diverse experience in higher education, during which she has held multiple roles such as course instructor, program administrator, instructional designer, and faculty developer. Her expertise includes course and curriculum design and assessment. Prior to her career in higher education, she worked in health promotion and wellness across non-profit, government, and research sectors.

Dr. Bautista earned her Bachelor of Science in Community Health from the University of Texas – El Paso, her Master of Art in Health Education from the University of Nebraska Omaha, and her Doctorate in Interdisciplinary Leadership from Creighton University. She is also a Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach, through the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching. She has spoken at local and national events on topics related to leadership and well-being, addressing a variety of audiences, including higher education administrators, healthcare providers, K-12 educational leaders, and non-profit executives.

Outside of the College, Dr. Bautista enjoys spending time with her family, cheering on her children at their sporting events, baking, and practicing yoga.
