Amanda Robinson is a social scientist working in higher education with experience in research design, curriculum development, community outreach, and program administration. She joined Clarkson College in 2022 as the Psychology Program Administrator. She has experience as a professor with a heavy focus on student-centered learning in higher education and student advising. Her research focus is based in maternal child welfare topics such as: breastfeeding, birth, child nutrition, medicine, biomedical systems, alternative medicine, and holistic medicine use.

 

Education and Professional Experience

Ms. Robinson earned her Master of Arts (M.A.) in Sociology and Anthropology from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and Anthropology, with a minor in Psychology, from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

Since starting her teaching career in higher education, she has taught courses such as: Introduction to Sociology, Health Psychology, Introduction to Anthropology, Social Psychology, Applied Social Sciences, Perspectives in the Social Sciences, Research Methods in the Social Sciences, Minorities and Cultural Diversity, Cults, Clans and Communities, Marriage and Family, Domestic Violence, Human Trafficking, and the Sociology of Childhood and Adolescence.
