Dr. Becky VanWinkle's professional journey began at the age of ten when she underwent an appendectomy—an experience that first sparked her interest in becoming an anesthesia provider. Inspired by her grandmother, who worked in healthcare, she began her own career in the field as a CNA at sixteen in her community nursing home.
She later earned her RN at Central Community College in 2008, completed the RN–MSN program at Nebraska Methodist College in 2015, and went on to complete her Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice at Bryan College of Health Sciences in 2020. She served as an anesthesia provider at Nebraska Medicine, where she also contributed to the education committee. Most recently, she worked at Vance Thompson Vision, an outpatient surgical center specializing in ophthalmologic procedures. She has previously enjoyed working with anesthesia students and is thrilled to return to an educational role.
Becky is the proud mother of two daughters, Emma and Gracie, who keep her busy with sports, school, and traveling.
In a world where you can be anything, be kind.
