Clarkson College has not always been a college. Instead, we began in 1888 as a school of nursing—the first in the state of Nebraska. Over the last 125 years, we've established a new campus, expanded our program offerings and adopted a new name. All the while, we've maintained a commitment to preparing our students to be the best in various realms of health care. Candice Carter, MSN, FNP became a faculty member in the Clarkson College Graduate Nursing program in 2015. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Nebraska Methodist College and a Master’s degree in Nursing from Clarkson College

Along with teaching full-time, Ms. Carter works as an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner (APRN) at Methodist Health Systems. She specializes in managing acute and chronic medical conditions as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She also has field experience in women’s health, orthopedics and pediatric care.

Ms. Carter also serves as a board member and committee chair for several Elkhorn Public Schools and volunteer for the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
