Clarkson College has not always been a college. Instead, we began in 1888 as a school of nursing—the first in the state of Nebraska. Over the last 125 years, we've established a new campus, expanded our program offerings and adopted a new name. All the while, we've maintained a commitment to preparing our students to be the best in various realms of health care. Ms. Henry began teaching for Clarkson College in 2021 and has worked in healthcare since the age of 18. She earned her BSN in 1996 at the University of North Dakota and followed that with a master’s in 2018 at the same university.

In addition to teaching for Clarkson College, Ms. Henry works for Essentia Health as a nurse practitioner in Internal Medicine with a focus on serving the geriatric population. She particularly enjoys chronic disease management and working with individuals who have rare or unusual health conditions. She has worked for Essentia Health since 2000 and in addition to her nurse practitioner duties has served as a preceptor to nurse practitioner students from a variety of colleges.

Ms. Henry has a special love for animals and fosters for the local animal shelter in Fargo, ND.

I believe that education is very important, not only in the college setting but also the clinic setting, providing as much education to my patients as I do my students!
