Dr. Jerina came to Clarkson College in 2016, and currently serves as an Associate Professor in the Undergraduate and Graduate Nursing programs. She holds associate and bachelor's degrees in nursing from the University of Nebraska Medical Center as well as a master's degree in nursing from the University of Cincinnati. In 2018, she earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Nebraska Methodist College. 

Dr. Jerina is a certified nurse practitioner and nurse midwife. She serves as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Cincinnati, Grand Canyon University, and Nebraska Methodist College. At Clarkson College, she is a Faculty Chair of the Undergraduate Admissions, Progression, and Graduation committee and member of Graduate Nursing Standard Bearers committees, Essential Work Group and Ruffalo Noel Levitz Work Group.  

Dr. Jerina is an active member of the American Nurses Association, Nebraska Nurses Association and American College of Nurse Midwives organizations. In 2019, she earned the Teaching in Excellence Faculty Award from Clarkson College.
