Clarkson College has not always been a college. Instead, we began in 1888 as a school of nursing—the first in the state of Nebraska. Over the last 125 years, we've established a new campus, expanded our program offerings and adopted a new name. All the while, we've maintained a commitment to preparing our students to be the best in various realms of health care. Tricia DeBoer, DNP, MSN, BSN, ADN, became an instructor in the Graduate Nursing program in 2021. She holds an Associate’s degree from Western Iowa Tech Community College and a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from South Dakota State University. She earned her Master’s degree in Nursing Education from Briar Cliff University and her doctoral degree in Nursing Education Leadership from American Sentinel University.

Much of Dr. DeBoer’s clinical experience is in emergency room medicine. She also has experience in nursing education as a clinical instructor, lab coordinator, simulation leader and course instructor.

Dr. DeBoer lives in Orange City, Iowa.
